WHAT WE DO

Applied Behaviour Analysis

What is Applied Behaviour Analysis?

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a therapy approach that utilises evidence-based behavioural principles. At Encourage Group, we design an individualised therapy program based on the needs of the individual receiving services.

Our therapy programs build social, language, play, motor, adaptive, academic, cognitive, and executive functioning skills, and address behavioural difficulties. The therapy programs are implemented by a team of therapists in the home or educational environment.

We serve clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disability, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), developmental delay, and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD).

After conducting a comprehensive developmental assessment, a member of our clinical team will give you a recommendation on the intensity of your child's ABA intervention. This may also be influenced by your NDIS funding and will fall into one of three brackets:

  1. Intensive ABA therapy program: A participant receives 30-40 hours of ABA therapy a week.

  2. Moderate-intensity ABA therapy program: A participant receives 15-29 hours of ABA therapy a week.

  3. Low-intensity ABA therapy program: A participant receives 10-14 hours of ABA therapy a week.

If you would like to explore whether an ABA program is right for your child, please contact us.
